The SLCC Budget for 2011-2012 Laid before the Scottish Parliament
Folowing consultation with the professional organisations, the SLCC laid its Budget for 2011 - 2012 before the Scottish Parliament on 26 May 2011. The budget runs from 1 July 2010 until 30 June 2011.You can read the budget and letters to the professional organisations below.

Complaints levies
Complaints levies are made against legal practitioners when a complaint is upheld. The complaints levies for 2011 - 2012 remain unchanged for a third year.

Important notice regarding the scottish election
Under the terms of the Legal Profession and Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 2007, we are required to lay our budget before the Scottish Parliament by 30 April of each year. However, as the Scottish Parliament is currently in recess pending the Scottish Election on 5 May, this is not possible.
The budget for 2011 - 2012 has been sent to the Scottish Government Learning and Justice Directorate and they will arrange to lay it before Ministers when the new cabinet has been appointed following the Scottish Election.
The SLCC will publish our budget for the next operational year when it has been laid before the Scottish Parliament.
The SLCC budget proposals for 2011-2012
Under the terms of the Legal Profession and Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 2007, we are required to lay our budget before Scottish Parliament by 30 April of each year.
The budget has been sent to the Justice Department who will arrange to lay it before Ministers when the new cabinet has been appointed following the Scottish Election.
The SLCC will not publish the budget for 2011 - 2012 until it has been laid before the Scottish Parliament.
