The SLCC is funded by a levy paid by legal practitioners operating in Scotland. Under the terms of the Legal Profession and Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 2007, we are required to consult with the relevant professional organisations about our proposed budget for the next financial year. Following the consultation, the budget will be agreed and laid before the Scottish Parliament.
SLCC CEO to leave in March
The Scottish Legal Complaints Commission has announced the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Matthew Vickers, who is resigning to take up the post of Deputy Chief Ombudsman at Ombudsman Services, a not-for-profit organisation which provides independent dispute resolution for the communication, energy and property sectors.
